In 1927, the United States made a vacuum annealing furnace for electrical materials. In 1953, the vacuum consumable electric arc furnace was used in industry to smelt sponge titanium. Vacuum induction furnaces were widely used in industry around the 1950s. In 1960, the United States developed an oil quenching vacuum furnace.

1. The vacuum furnace is generally composed of a furnace

 An electric heating device, a sealed furnace shell, a vacuum system, a power supply system, and a temperature control system. The sealed furnace shell is welded with carbon steel or stainless steel, and the joint surface of the detachable part is sealed with a vacuum sealing material. In order to prevent the furnace shell from being deformed after heating and the sealing material is heated to deteriorate, the furnace shell is generally cooled by water or air cooling. The furnace is located in the sealed furnace shell. Depending on the purpose of the furnace, different types of heating elements are installed inside the furnace, such as resistors, induction coils, electrodes, and electron guns. There are crucibles in the hearth of the vacuum furnace for smelting metals, and some are equipped with automatic pouring devices and manipulators for loading and unloading materials. The vacuum system is mainly composed of vacuum pump, vacuum valve and vacuum gauge.

2. Industrial vacuum furnace

Vacuum furnaces are divided into vacuum resistance furnaces, vacuum induction furnaces, vacuum arc furnaces, vacuum consumable arc furnaces, electron beam furnaces (also known as electron bombardment furnaces) and plasma furnaces according to heating elements.After the vacuum quenching furnace is shut down, the vacuum in the furnace must be kept below 66.5LPA.

When the furnace is dusty or dirty, wipe it with a silk cloth soaked in alcohol or gasoline and let it dry.

When disassembling and disassembling the sealing structure on the furnace body, vacuum system and other parts, they should be cleaned with alcohol or gasoline and dried, then coated with vacuum grease and assembled.

The outer surface of the vacuum quenching furnace is frequently wiped to keep it clean.

Parts and parts carts must be cleaned and dried before entering the furnace to prevent moisture and dirt from entering the furnace.

When the transmission parts are found to be stuck, inaccurate in the limit, and control failure, they should be queued immediately and do not force the operation to avoid damage to the parts. The mechanical transmission parts of the aluminum plate spot welding machine should be regularly oiled or changed for maintenance.

Vacuum pumps, valves, measuring instruments, thermal instruments, electrical components and other accessories are repaired and maintained in accordance with the technical instructions of the product.
