Congratulations on the successful holding of the 60tLF ladle refining furnace upgrade and transformation program seminar

The 60tLF ladle refining furnace upgrade plan seminar was successfully held in the company's meeting room at 15:30 pm on March 30, 2021. The project is the 60tLF ladle refining furnace upgrade project of the second steelmaking plant of Henan Jiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd., with a tight schedule and heavy tasks. At this meeting, the company's chief engineer Yang gave a detailed introduction to the project's upgrading and transformation scope, layout plan, and technical difficulties, and made an overall plan for the construction schedule. The engineers of the project team discussed the preliminary design plan and put forward many reasonable suggestions.

The smooth convening of this meeting laid the foundation for the smooth implementation of the project, marking that the design work of the project has been fully launched.

Henan Jiyuan Iron and Steel (Group) Co., Ltd. Second Steelmaking Plant 3#60tLF ladle furnace was built in 2005. The hydraulic system has a high failure rate, the electrode regulator is relatively backward, the arc current is unstable, and the adjustment of the operating point is not accurate, resulting in the heating rate. Slow, large electrode consumption, uneven corrosion of refractory materials. With the continuous acceleration of the production rhythm, the electrode regulator of the 3#60tLF ladle refining furnace can no longer meet the production requirements and needs to be upgraded.

Upgrade scope:

1. The following electrical equipment needs to be added:

   1) 1 500kVA ladle refining furnace transformer (replace the original 8000kVA transformer)

   2) Electrode regulator cabinet 1 set

   3) Main console 1

   4) Arc voltage detection box 1 unit

   5) Arc current detection system (including 3 sets of Rogowski coils and integrators) 1 set

   6) 1 HMI monitoring computer

   7) 1 set of electrode regulator software

2. The following hydraulic equipment needs to be replaced:

   1) Electrode lifting proportional valve 1 set (4 in total, 3 used and 1 prepared)

   2) Electrode lifting hydraulic control single-phase valve 1 set (3 in total, 1 electrode in each phase)

   3) 1 set of hydraulic circulating pump

3. The following mechanical equipment needs to be replaced: 

  1) Short network 1 set;

  2) 1 set of conductive crossarm;

  3) One online silk feeding machine;

4. Construction, commissioning and technical training:

   1) Debugging of hydraulic system;

   2) Arc current and arc voltage collection box installation and signal cable laying;

   3) Installation and debugging of electrode lifting proportional valve and hydraulic control single-phase valve;

   4) Debugging of electrode regulator;

   5) Technical training (regulator control principle, program debugging; LF electrical automation, hydraulic system maintenance)
