Water-cooled cable's requirements and characteristics

Requirement of power cable

The breakdown voltage of the outer sheath rubber hose of water-cooled cable is v ≥ 2300V.

The working water pressure resistance of the outer sheath rubber hose of water-cooled cable P ≥ 0.6MPa.

There is no leakage of cooling water at the interface between the outer sheath rubber hose and the electrode.

The soft wire and electrode are cold extruded and fastened on the special equipment.

The test tension of the nominal cross-sectional area of 200mm2 is 15kn. On this basis, the test tension value increases with 5kn for every 100mm2 increase in the nominal cross-sectional area of the water-cooled cable.

The maximum surface temperature rise (including the connection) of water-cooled cable shall not be greater than 40K.water cooled cable for induction furnace - CHNZBTECH

Characteristic of water-cooled power cable

1. The electrode (also known as cable head) is contactless, solderless and welded. It is processed by the whole copper bar on the CNC lathe and milling machine. It is beautiful, durable and low resistance;

2. The outer sleeve is made of high-quality rubber hose, with water pressure resistance > 0.8MPa and breakdown voltage resistance higher than 4000V. There is also a flame-retardant outer sleeve for users to choose in special occasions;

3. The connection between the electrode and the outer sleeve is fastened with 1Cr18Ni9Ti stainless steel clip, which is non-magnetic and rust free;

4. Copper wire is made of thin seven pack wire wound in layers on a special winding machine. Soft, small bending radius;

5. Using seven clad wire as water-cooled cable, the power transmission efficiency is high. Due to the insulation between each seven clad wire and the conduction of medium and high frequency current, there is no surface skin effect. Compared with other water-cooled cables with the same section, the heating capacity is less when passing the same current;

6. Using tinned copper stranded wire or enamelled wire as the conductor of water-cooled cable can improve the service life of water-cooled cable. Because the conductor of water-cooled cable is immersed in water for a long time, the working environment is very bad. In the past, we used bare copper wire as water-cooled cable. When the water-cooled cable is used for a period of time, open the cable jacket and you will see a layer of green copper rust on the surface of the conductor. Later, we used tinned copper stranded wire or enamelled wire as water-cooled cable. Because tinned copper stranded wire or enamelled wire has tin or seven film protective layer, it can play an anti-corrosion role. According to users, the service life of water-cooled cable made of tinned copper stranded wire or enamelled wire is 1.5 ~ 2 times that of bare copper wire.
