Cooling tower about the precautions for routine maintenance

Main points of daily maintenance of cooling tower.  

(1) Running records  

When a circular cooling tower is constructed or installed and put into operation, the manufacturer shall provide data on all characteristics of the cooling tower:  Including thermal characteristics, resistance characteristics, water load, heat load, ambient temperature (dry bulb and wet bulb temperature), cooling range, air volume, power consumption, air volume, water evaporation, water refill, concentration ratio, fan power consumption, water pressure into the tower, etc. are operated by the relevant competent departments of the user unit.  Records of the above items.  

(2) Measuring instruments and methods  

In order to detect the operating effect of cooling tower or evaluate the size of cooling capacity, it is necessary to carry out indoor test or identification test on the operating cooling tower in the production site.  Therefore, not only need to have scientific and technical personnel for cooling tower testing and research, but also need a complete set of specifications, test methods, as well as a set of test instruments and meters (some also with spare parts), such as: as a thermometer, micropressure gauge, pressure gauge, sound level meter, etc..  

(3) Fan and its transmission device  

Fan and drive shaft - Periodically inspect fan blade surfaces for damage or abnormal conditions.  When checking drive shaft and coupling, keep it straight and level.  

Gear reducer - Check oil level and oil humidity in gear reducer regularly, and use seasonal temporary shutdown to change oil and check various parts.   

(4) Cooling water collection tank  

Cold water tanks should be kept deep enough to prevent cavitation.  The freeboard height of the pool is 15 ~ 30cm. The following is the effective volume of the pool.  The water level of the pool should be maintained at a certain level, otherwise the auxiliary water valve needs to be adjusted.  For cross-flow cooling towers, if the working water level is below the design requirements, a deflector shall be installed below the original water surface to prevent air bypass.  The cold tank should be cleaned irregularly to remove sludge and attachments deposited at the bottom of the tank, to remove debris from the filler and its supports, to keep the pump inlet grille clean, and to check the collection tank for leaks.  At times, such as when maintenance is required, attention must be paid to the proper operation of acid, chlorine and water stabilizer dispensers.  

(5) Hot water distribution system  

In order to keep the hot water system to clean and clear, it includes the regulator, voltage stabilizer, water delivery and distribution pipe, nozzle, sprinkler, and adjust the distribution pool each tank of water flow in order to obtain the same depth of water (water depth between 100 and 150 cm), if there are great changes into the circulating water of the tower, the water distribution pipe and the nozzle should be accordingly adjusted.
