What is a water-cooled cable?

Water-cooled cable, commonly known as water cable, is a kind of hollow water-passing special cable used for high-current heating equipment. It usually consists of three parts: electrode (cable head), wire, and outer sheath.

For ordinary water-cooled cables, the electrodes are welded with copper tubes and copper bars, which are not tightly connected to the equipment. The wire is made of copper bare wire twisted, and the bending radius is large. The outer sheath is made of ordinary rubber hose, which has low pressure resistance. The sleeve and the electrode are fastened by ordinary clamps, which are not very good in sealing and are more prone to water leakage. High-quality water-cooled cables, the electrodes are made of integral copper rods by turning and milling, and the surface is also passivated or tinned.
