How to replace electric arc furnace's wearing parts?

Electric arc furnace is an electric furnace for smelting ore and metal at high temperature produced by electrode arc, which is suitable for smelting high-quality alloy steel. With the increase of service time of electric arc furnace, a small number of vulnerable parts need to be replaced at any time, mainly including copper electrode, copper wire mesh, quartz tube, etc. So, how should these parts be replaced?

Methods to replace arc melting furnace's wearing parts

1. Replace the copper electrode of electric arc steel furnace

Remove the tee on the upper surface of the electric arc furnace against the clock, remove the old electrode rod, insert the new electrode rod, and then screw on the tee again.

2. Replace the copper wire mesh of 5 ton electricarc furnace

The copper wire mesh is located at the upper part of the inner side of the furnace body to prevent part of the dust from entering the dust collector along the air outlet pipe, and also prevent excessive heat leakage. The copper wire mesh must be replaced after the electric arc furnace is used for a period of time. The method is as follows:

Remove the residual copper wire with a thin rod. Unfold the copper wire mesh, cover the quartz tube with a small hole in the middle, cover it up along the quartz tube from bottom to top, and then wrap a small section of hard wire or iron wire into a small ring with handle to hold the copper wire mesh up to the top.

3. Replace the quartz tube of excentric bottom tapping electric arc furnace

The quartz tube is prone to aging after long-term use, and the end may be damaged and broken when the crucible enters and exits. After the fracture, the accuracy of the test will be affected, so it must be replaced. The method is as follows:

Unscrew the tee pipe, clamp the furnace body joint with a vice (preferably the internal lining cloth), and screw it out counterclockwise. After unscrewing, the old quartz tube and the small silicon rubber ring inside can be taken out. If the small silicon rubber ring is seriously aged, it also needs to be replaced.

Then put the small silicon rubber ring flat into the upper part of the furnace body, insert the quartz tube into the furnace body from top to bottom until the lower end of the quartz tube is flush with the end face of the furnace body, and then install the furnace body joint and tee tube.
