The main advantages are as follows:  

(1) Promote the melting of scrap steel, reduce the soft melting phenomenon of cold zone, in order to help eliminate the existence of cold zone in the process of eAF steelmaking. 

(2) it is beneficial to improve the reaction rate of steel slag interface, contribute to the adsorption and removal of inclusions in eAF crude steelmaking, increase the reaction rate of dephosphorization and decarburization, and shorten the smelting process .

(3) The speed of molten steel moving in the molten pool is increased, which is helpful to eliminate the temperature imbalance in the molten pool and reduce the temperature of the molten steel.  

(4) Due to the stirring effect of bottom blowing gas, the interface reaction of steel slag tends to be more balanced, which reduces the content of iron oxide in the slag and is conducive to the reduction of iron consumption.  

(5) The life of the furnace lining is improved because the steelmaking temperature and the content of iron oxide in the slag are reduced.

Due to the above advantages, the technology of eAF bottom blowing has been paid more attention and developed in recent years.  Bottom blowing technology is mainly in the arc furnace bottom into 120° Angle distribution of three pieces of ventilation
