The cooling tower is a device that uses the contact (direct or indirect) between air and water to cool water. It takes water as the circulating coolant to absorb heat from a system and discharge it to the atmosphere, so as to reduce the temperature of circulating water in the tower and make the cooling water recyclable.

How to select steel plant cooling tower?  

Previously, we have introduced the structure and installation. Today, we are going to show how to select cooling tower.

1. According to the temperature of the cooled water, the cooling tower includes: high temperature tower, medium temperature tower and normal temperature tower, and the industrial tower with large cooling coefficient can be selected.

2. According to the current situation of the installation position and the requirements for noise, the selection of cooling tower includes: cross flow tower and counter flow tower. The site is limited, and multiple square towers can be selected in parallel.

3. The cooling water volume shall be selected according to the cooling water volume of the chiller. If the conventional cooling tower can meet the cooling requirements, it can be matched with the corresponding model of cooling tower. In principle, the water volume of the cooling tower shall be slightly larger than that of the chiller.

4. When selecting multiple water towers, try to select the same type of cooling tower.

Generally speaking, the thermal performance of the cooling tower, the noise level, the power consumption and the amount of floating water are the key to measure the quality of the cooling tower. They are the focus of repeated investigation and comparison when users and designers select the cooling tower.
