EAF roof uses refractory material

The water-cooled cover of electric arc furnace is widely used because it has a series of advantages such as long service life and refractory material saving.  However, the current domestic manufacturers use the situation  

Several problems need to be further solved: 

(1) After using the all-water-cooled furnace cover, the power consumption increases; 

(2) The weld is easy to crack and cause water leakage;

(3)The service life of refractory lining of furnace cover is short;  

(4) The electrode hole is refractory  

Through the analysis of the full water cooled furnace cover used by some domestic manufacturers.  

Since the water-cooled cover has been adopted for the 25-ton electric furnace in our factory, although the life and rotation of the cover have been solved and the furnace cooling pump motor has been enlarged 

The production practice shows that there are two obvious deficiencies:  

1. Insufficient cooling water, excessive backwater temperature, loud water cooling parts, falling off pipe, and spewing hose steam;  

2. In the normal smelting full melting period, or furnace in the electrical, mechanical and technological hot shutdown period  

Ground stop pump (sometimes not all stop), cooling water outlet temperature is low, a lot of energy lost.  Three: winter, short production furnace can not supply water, but because of fear of freezing, also have to open the pump, resulting in a lot of waste.
